Micheal “Mike” Harmon, 55, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024, at his home.

A time of fellowship and sharing stories will be from 1-3 p.m. at Schriver's Memorial Chapel, Aberdeen, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Micheal “Mike” David Harmon was born on October 31, 1968, in Aberdeen, SD, to David S. and Karla (Hammer) Harmon. The family lived in West River, SD, until moving to Mansfield, SD, in 1980. Mike spent his childhood with his siblings: Thomas, Matthew, Kari, and Laura. Mike graduated from Mellette High School in 1987 and started working as a farmhand. He worked at various farms in the area and also drove truck for a short time.

In his free time, Mike loved to compete in handgun target shooting. He was a very talented marksman and also spent much of his time fishing and hunting all species! His Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes, Gizmo and Bear, were his faithful furry companions and were very special to him.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Donna Harmon of Minneapolis, MN; mother, Karla (Leonard) Sollie of rural Mina, SD; siblings: Tom (Monica) Harmon of Leola, SD, Matthew Harmon of Sioux Falls, SD, Kari (Brad Fischbach) Harmon of Mellette, SD, and Laura (Jordan) Hupke of Langford, SD; very special friend Shannon Novak of Fargo, ND; furry companions, Gizmo and Bear; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Harmon; maternal grandparents, Swede & Betty Hammer; paternal grandparents, Jake & Lois Harmon; nephew, Christian Harmon; and many extended family members.
