Maryann Schwab, 87, of Aberdeen, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community in Aberdeen.
Maryann's wishes were to be cremated. Her graveside committal service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser officiating.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Maryann Young was born on January 8, 1928, in Aberdeen, SD, to Benjamin and Helen (Mastel) Young. This is the area where she was raised and attended parochial school.
Maryann was united in marriage to Frank Schwab in Aberdeen on April 15, 1948. The couple made Aberdeen their home, where Maryann was employed with several area cafes. They then resided in Oceanside, CA, for 20 years and in Kingman, AZ, for 20 years before returning to Aberdeen in 2012. Maryann continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.
In her spare time, Maryann enjoyed relaxing with a cup of coffee while working her puzzle books.
Blessed to have shared in Maryann's life are her husband of nearly 67 years, Frank Schwab of Aberdeen; one daughter, Linda Kay (David) White of Fredericksburg, VA; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and six brothers.
Her parents; her son, Richard Schwab; two sisters; and three brothers preceded Maryann in death.
