Mary Magdalene Kramer, 92, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Father Michael Griffin as Celebrant. Burial follows at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday at the mortuary with a liturgical wake service, led by Father Melvin Kuhn, being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at the church on Saturday.

Mary Magdalene Schneider was born July 19, 1923, to John and Barbara (Schwab) Schneider near Mina, SD. She attended rural Mina schools and Warner Public School before graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 1942. While attending school in Warner, Mary received a medal for speed typing.

In September of 1943, Mary moved to New York City, where she worked at Hubert's Delicatessen Store, which was owned by the Hubert Pawlitschek family from Germany. She also was employed in the office of Hearst Magazines for a short time before returning to Aberdeen in 1945.

Mary was united in marriage to Ludwig B. "Louie" Kramer on August 10, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. The couple made Aberdeen their life-long home, where Mary was employed at the Montgomery Ward Store, J.C. Penney Store, Walgreen Drug, Woodward Rexall Drug and White Drug Store in the Super City Mall. Mary and Louie shared over 65 years of marriage before he passed away on October 19, 2013. She continued to reside in Aberdeen until the time of her death.

Mary was a member of both St. Mary's Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen and was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Aberdeen Women's Club and the Travel Club. Mary enjoyed music, dancing, and playing the piano and accordion. She also loved traveling, meeting with her many coffee friends, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

Mary is survived by two special nieces: Angeline B. Prus of Morristown, NJ and Marlene A. Schlenker of Kennard, NE and many more nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Louie; her parents, John and Barbara; and one sister, Bertha Hansen.
