Mary Pauline Haar

Mary Haar (Ross), 70, of Bath, SD, went home in peace Sunday, February 19, 2023, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A time of fellowship and luncheon with family present will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Mary Ross was born January 26, 1953, in Bainbridge, Maryland, to Robert and Regina (Carros) Ross. Her father was a WWII Navy Veteran, so they traveled some but ended up in Oscoda, Michigan, where Mary graduated high school.

Throughout the years, Mary lived in many places before settling in Aberdeen, SD, where she raised her three sons. She met her devoted husband, Arlie Haar, and spent the rest of her life enjoying her family.

Mary had a career in accounting and teaching and was exceptional at both, but her passion was her family and friends. Mary always did such loving and fun things with her husband, kids, and grandkids and her family will cherish those fond memories forever. Mary was the most loving and kind person they knew.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Arlie Haar; her five sons: David (Mindy), Tim, Mike (Rebecca), Travis, and Chad (Khristine); one daughter, Angie; twelve grandkids; two sisters, Patricia and Kathie; one brother, William; and her mother, Regina.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and one grandson, Sean.
