Mary Katherine Stevens was born on September 19, 1932, to Verne and Marguerite (Schenck) Stevens in Faulkton, SD. She was raised and attended school in Faulkton. After graduating high school, she moved to Aberdeen and made it her home until her passing.

She was blessed to have six children: Steve, Al, Peggy, Holly, Tom, and Bill. Mary had a lengthy career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, where she worked for many years until her retirement. She continued to stay active, working at various places and volunteering at the local senior center.

When she had free time, Mary enjoyed the quiet pleasures of life. She loved working on puzzles, a hobby that kept her mind sharp, and she had a special passion for collecting spoons from all over the world. Above all, Mary had a deep love for her furry companions, and her cat, Callie, will miss her dearly.

Mary is survived by her children: Steve (Susie) Ramsdell of Aberdeen, SD, Peggy (Jon) Walberg of Aberdeen, SD, Holly (Matt) Smischny of Estill Springs, TN, Tom (Suzette Antelope) Frazier of Aberdeen, SD, and Bill (Stacy Dinger) Frazier of Bath, SD; brother, Danny Ramsdell of Arizona; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Verne and Marguerite; two brothers, Bill Stevens and Dennis Stevens; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Agnes Stevens; and one son, Al Marks (December 19, 1997).
