Marian Mae Dittus Methke, 77, of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1429 North Dakota Street, Aberdeen, with Pastor Liz Dieseth presiding. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, at the mortuary, with an Eagle’s Auxiliary Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Marian Mae Bogda was born on September 20, 1936, to Henry and Katherine (Bitz) Bogda in Venturia, ND. She was raised in this area and attended Ashley Public Schools in Ashley, ND.
Marian married Arthur Dittus in 1956, in Fredonia, ND. They moved to Aberdeen, where Marian was employed with various restaurants.
Marian and Erwin Methke were united in marriage in 1975 in Redfield, SD. They made Aberdeen their home, where she continued working at various restaurants, did babysitting, and was also employed with the Head Start Program as a Foster Grandparent for many years.
Marian was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where she was involved in the Good Shepherd Altar Guild. She was also a member of Tabitha, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Women’s Relief Corps, the Women of the Moose, the Eagle’s Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary, where she served as Chaplin.
Survivors include three daughters: DeAnn (Tom) Gittins of York, PA, Sherri (Stacey) Rothenberger of Watertown, SD, and Gay (Roger) Eisfeld of Slayton, MN; six sons: Gary Hanson of Holland, MI, Timothy Hanson of Grand Rapids, MI, Dennis (Jennifer) Ketterling of Valencia, CA, Brian (Linda) Deweerd of Edgerton, MN, Donnie Dittus of Aberdeen and Galen (Nancy) Lewis of Winner, SD; one sister, Irene Gibson of Oakes, ND; one brother, Albert Bogda of Ashley, ND; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one brother, and one sister.
