Lynda Estelle Bailey, 56, of Leola, SD, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Don Peck officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, at the mortuary, with a public prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Tuesday.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.
Lynda Estelle Reeves was born on January 22, 1960 in Natchez, MS, to Claude and Joan (Vandervere) Reeves. Lynda lived in Mississippi, California, Arkansas, Texas, and South Dakota. On May 20, 1983, Lynda married Terry Bailey, Sr. They later divorced in 2010. Lynda worked as a waitress in various places, at a school cafeteria in Arkansas and the school cafeteria in Leola, and G's of Leola.
Lynda enjoyed spending time with her grandson Logan, watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies, cooking, traveling, and going to concerts. She attended Leola Methodist Church. Grateful for having shared Lynda's life is her grandson Logan Gordon; father: Marvin Bonnet of Leola; her two children: Terry Bailey, Jr. of Conway, AR, and Kandi Havens of Pierre, SD; two brothers: Marvin (Michelle) Bonnet, Jr. of Aberdeen, SD, and Donald Bonnet of Aberdeen, SD; three sisters: Cindy Simpson of Eureka, CA, DeeAnn Toth of Tulare, CA, and Nancy Morales of Eureka, CA; nieces: Mikayla Bonnet, Shian Simpson, and Rachel Hogan; and great-nephew: Anthony Simpson.
Lynda was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Bonnet; her father, Claude Reeves; and one brother, Daniel Revees.
