Landon Daniel Jangula was born to Holly Jangula and Daniel Mulvenna on April 3, 1993, in Aberdeen, SD. Landon won his ‘Duey Dad’ on April 28, 2000, when his mom married Duey Hedge.

Landon attended elementary and middle school in Aberdeen, SD. He graduated from Aberdeen Central in 2011. He was known for the infamous rip stick ride he took through the smooth floors of Central.

Landon began working at the Flame Restaurant at the age of 14, where he later trained as a cook. Landon worked at various restaurants in Aberdeen, where he gained an appreciation for culinary arts. Cooking wasn’t only a hobby for Landon, but a passion. Landon could always be found in the kitchen, cheffing up everyone’s favorites either at a restaurant or in his home.

Landon later worked for UPS. He appreciated the alone time on the road. He enjoyed meeting new people but chatting with old friends always brought a smile to his face. Landon was employed at DemKota Beef at the time of his death.

Landon loved many things in life, especially watching the Denver Broncos, basketball, and recently found a new passion in watching Nascar with his Duey Dad. Landon loved entertaining family and friends at his home. He took special care in creating family memories with his children. Landon did not like going rummaging at garage sales with his Grandma Peggy. She fooled him into coming along once, but not twice.

On November 4, 2013, Landon welcomed his daughter, Adalina Lilly-Rae Janugula. Cooper David-Graham Jangula joined the family on April 6, 2019. Landon’s children were his pride and joy. Landon’s smile and love for others will live on through his children.

Landon spent the last seven and a half years with the love of his life, Alyzabeth ‘Lyz’ Murray. They shared his home and hoped to be married one day. Lyz was Landon’s rock during the trials and tribulations of this past year. She supported Landon with her many visits, endless “I Love You,” and constant reassurance that they would get through everything together.

Landon will be remembered for his “take a minute to think about it” humor. If you didn’t get the punchline, you would see his huge smile and hear his larger-than-life laugh.

Landon is survived by his children: Adalina Jangula and Cooper Jangula; parents, Daniel Mulvenna and Holly (Duey) Hedge; two sisters: April Mulvenna and Erica Gage; three brothers: Gage Hedge, Travis Mulvenna, and Brandon Mulvenna; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Landon is also survived by his grandma Peggy Jangula, she spent many hours with him as a young boy watching Barney and trying to convince him that rummage sales were fun.

Landon was greeted in Heaven with open arms by his cousin Derek Jangula and the many others gone before him.
