Kathleen "Kathie" Cady

October 15, 1968 — March 4, 2024

Aberdeen, SD

Kathleen “Kathie” Suzanne Cady, 55, of Aberdeen, passed peacefully in her home Monday, March 4, 2024.

Kathie’s wishes were to be cremated, and a Celebration of her Life with a time of remembrance and reminiscing with her family will take place at a later date. She will be buried in Minnesota with her mother and brother.

Kathleen S Cady was born on October 15, 1968, in St Cloud, MN, to Richard and Patricia (Kroening) Cady. She grew up in Albany, MN, where her father taught at the local high school. Kathie lived in St. Cloud, MN, for a little while after high school and later moved to Aberdeen with her kids to help her sister and her kids.

Kathie was all about family and friends. She became the proud mother of her three sons and three grandchildren. Kathie would “adopt” any of her children’s friends who came around. If someone needed help, she’d be there, no matter the time or day. She would gladly give the shirt off her back, cook a feast for those in need, and never expect anything in return.

Grateful for having shared Kathleen’s life are her children: David Grose, Adam (Kayla) Cady, and Austin (Sydney) Cady, all of Aberdeen SD; father Richard Cady of Donnelly, MN; sister Julie (Joe) Kill of Donnelly, MN, Toni (Karl) Cady of Aberdeen, SD, and Michelle (Jeff) Nathe of Albany, MN; grandchildren: Kendra of Evansville, MN, and Brantley and Bella of Aberdeen, SD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Kathleen in death are her mother, Patricia Cady; brother, Sean Cady; and niece, Katelyn Nathe.
