Katherine (Feist-Glatt) Dosch

Katherine (Feist-Glatt) Dosch, 107, of Aberdeen, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.

A private family funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2020, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Father David Janes officiating.

Burial follows at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at the mortuary, and is open to the public .

Katherine Feist-Glatt was born on August 23, 1913, to Joseph and Magdelena (Materi) Feist on a farm in the Linton, ND area.  This is the area where she was raised and attended rural school.

Katherine was united in marriage to John Dosch in Hague, ND on February 3, 1938.  The couple made their home on a farm near Ipswich, SD until 1975, when they moved to Aberdeen.  Katherine and John shared 39 years together before he passed away on November 18, 1977.  Katherine moved into Davis Court in 2013 and recently became a resident of Avera Mother Joseph Manor, where she continued to reside until the time of her passing.

Katherine loved being a homemaker and in her spare time enjoyed working with ceramics and playing cards.  Above all, she loved being a Grandma and Great-Grandma.  Katherine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Blessed to have shared Katherine’s life are her children:  Larella Rogers of Denver, CO, Bob (Darlene) Dosch of Webster, SD, Marie Crawford and Jim (Judy) Dosch, both of Aberdeen, Leonard Dosch of Mina, SD and Susan (Don) Jackson of Perry, OH; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike Feist and Alex (Edna) Feist, both of Napoleon, ND.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, John; one son and one daughter in infancy; her parents; seven brothers; four sisters; her son-in-law, Arlye Crawford; her daughter-in-law, Patti Dosch; and one granddaughter.
