Julia Louise Fischer

Julia Louise Fischer, 81, of Aberdeen, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015, at ManorCare Health Services in Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen, with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser, Celebrant.

Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at the mortuary, with a Liturgical Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday. Friends may sign her online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com.

Julia Louise Heinz was born on December 12, 1933, to Paul and AnnaMary (Roth) Heinz in Ipswich, SD. This is the area where she was raised and attended rural schools.

Julia was united in marriage to Mike Fischer on November 3, 1954, in Ipswich. The couple made their home in Aberdeen and their union was blessed with four sons and one daughter. Julia had recently become a resident of ManorCare Health Services, where she remained until the time of her death.

Julia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and going on walks. Above all, Julia cherished the time spent with her family.

Blessed to have shared in Julia's life is her husband of over 60 years, Mike Fischer of Aberdeen; her sons: Ray (Ingrid) Fischer of Ipswich, SD, Jim Fischer of Aberdeen, Ron (Gail) Fischer of Aberdeen, and Craig (Melanie) Fischer of Aberdeen; her daughter, Peggy (Don) Miller of Mina, SD; one brother, Paul (Sharon) Heinz of Aberdeen; and three sisters: Magdalena Wertz of Portland, OR, Katherine (Albert) Fischer of Aberdeen, and Regartha Mitzel of New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and three sisters.
