Joanne Jaragoske was born on December 29, 1933, to Joe and Ruth (Sharp) Jaragoske in Redfield, SD, where she grew up and graduated from Redfield High School in 1951. Her educational journey continued at Northern State College from 1980 to 1983, reflecting her lifelong passion for learning.

Joanne Married John Marlette on January 29, 1954. They were blessed with four children: David, Greg, Ann, and Tim. Later, Joanne married Ron Deloy on November 15, 1971.

Throughout her life, Joanne was deeply committed to her faith and community service. She was a faithful member of several United Methodist Churches, including Redfield Methodist Church during her childhood, and later, congregations in Watertown, Sioux City, Mellette, and, most recently, North Highland United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. For two decades, Joanne served as the church organist at North Highland UMC, sharing her love of music with the congregation. In 2001, she transitioned to a part-time organist, and in 2003, she became the choir accompanist. Joanne also contributed to church leadership as a member of the Administrative Board for three years and participated on the Mission Committee for several years. She was a proud member of the United Methodist Women.

Joanne's commitment extended beyond her church; she was actively involved in various organizations such as AARP, the Aberdeen Senior Citizens, and Foster Grandparents. She was also a member of the Minerva Order of Eastern Stars and the Past Matrons Association for an impressive 74 years.

A woman of many talents, Joanne found joy in playing the piano, pursuing crafts, sewing, and knitting. She dedicated her efforts to working with missions and had a particular fondness for watching old musicals and westerns. Joanne took great pride in her American identity and shared her passions with those around her.

Grateful for having shared Joanne's life are her three sons, Tim (Michele) Marlette of Aberdeen, SD, Greg (Anee) Marlette of Olympia, Washington, and David Marlette of San Diego, CA, as well as her daughter, Ann Albrecht, of St. Paul, MN. Joanne is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Marie Marlette and Brandon Rassmussen, and one great-grandchild, Nevaeh Rasmussen.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and two beloved sisters, Lynda Deloy and Delores Fox, and one son-in-law, Bruce Albrecht.
