Joan Dee Pudwill passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend whose kindness, strength, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel.

A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

Burial will take place at a later date.

Born on May 21, 1955, in Ashley, North Dakota, to Ray and Violet (Doctor) Brosz, Joan dedicated her life to her family and to the farm she loved. She spent her entire life working alongside her husband, Don, taking great pride in caring for their cattle and tending to the land. Farming was more than a livelihood to Joan. It was a way of life that reflected her resilience, determination, and selfless heart. She also found great joy in gardening, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing everything she cared for.

Above all else, Joan’s greatest joy was her family. She was the devoted wife of Don Pudwill and a loving mother to Johnathon, Tel, Cory, Joshua, Justina, and Tiffany. Her grandchildren, Emily, Maddie, Noah, Rozlynn, Edwin, Oliver, Ophelia, and Chester, were the light of her life. They knew her simply as the best grandma in the world, and every moment spent with them was precious to her. Whether sharing stories over a hot cup of coffee, celebrating life’s milestones, or simply enjoying one another’s company, Joan made every day feel special.

Joan was known for her caring heart, unwavering support, and quiet strength. She was generous with her kindness, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. No matter what challenges life placed before her, Joan faced them with courage and perseverance, always emerging stronger. Her remarkable work ethic and genuine compassion earned the admiration and respect of all who knew her.

Her whole world revolved around the family she created. Joan believed that each day was a gift and lived every one with gratitude, purpose, and love. She would want those she loved to continue doing the best they can every day, to cherish one another, and to never take a single moment for granted.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Don Pudwill; her children, Johnathon, Tel, Cory, Joshua, Justina, and Tiffany; her cherished grandchildren, Emily, Maddie, Noah, Rozlynn, Edwin, Oliver, Ophelia, and Chester; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Joan’s love, wisdom, strength, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will be carried forward through the family she loved so completely.
