Jeff Harty was born on October 12, 1984, to Bernard and Kandice (Beranek) Harty in Aberdeen, SD, where he was raised and attended Aberdeen Public Schools.
Jeff worked as a butcher his whole life. He was employed at Kesslers and Economy Meat Market. He loved his work and was very dedicated to his job.
Jeff spent 8 years with Kristina Walters, and together they had 2 beautiful children, Jayden and Ashlyn.
Jeff spent 12 years with Trisha Harty (Holm), and he adored his stepdaughter Lilly Bryant.
In Jeff’s free time, he enjoyed fishing, disc golfing, camping, bonfires, his pool, concerts, playing his guitar (electric and bass), grilling, hanging out with his friends, and he loved being an uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, but most of all, he loved spending time with his girls, Jayden and Ashlyn. He loved bringing them to do fun things, listening to music, watching movies, playing catch, and singing songs with them. He was a wonderful father.
Music was really Jeff’s passion. He spent so much time playing his guitar and singing with his girls. Growing up, he drove everyone crazy while learning to play, but eventually he did, and he really cherished his guitars. He was always going to concerts with whoever wanted to go. He was so funny and loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He was always so much fun, and anyone who knew him has a great story to tell about him. He had a very contagious laugh and a heart of gold. He will be missed by many.
Jeff is survived by his daughters, Jayden Harty and Ashlyn Harty; his mother, Kandice (Scott) Summers; his siblings, Shane (Tonya) Reich, Carrie (Davy) Stanley, Jennifer (Mark) Hofer, Rebecca (Mike) Acklin; and so many nieces and nephews, whom he loved with his whole heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Harty, his grandparents, Phillipine (Roy) Harty, and Valma (Edward) Beranek.
