Jay R. Hornaman, 56, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.
His memorial service will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Father Shane D. Stevens officiating.
A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center.
Jay's wishes were to be cremated with burial taking place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Aberdeen at a later date.

Jay R. Hornaman was born on January 12, 1959, in Aberdeen, SD, to Fred and Judy (Kunkel) Hornaman. This is the area where he was raised and attended parochial school.
Following graduation from Roncalli High School in 1977, Jay moved to the Rapid City area, where he resided for several years. In 2000, Jay was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and returned to Aberdeen due to declining health.
Grateful to have shared Jay's life are his mother, Judy Hornaman of Aberdeen; one brother, Tim (Josie) Hornaman of Aberdeen; two sisters: Julie McGannon of Aberdeen and Wendy Hunter of Halma, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Jay's father Fred, and brother Dan, preceded him in death.
