Gordon Walter Orth, 74, of Eureka, SD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Aberdeen, SD.
Gordon's wishes were to be cremated and have a celebration of life at a later date.

Gordon was born on January 4, 1952, to Walter and Amanda (Neuharth) Orth in Eureka, South Dakota. He grew up on the family farm outside of Herreid, South Dakota. Gordon attended country school for two years before transferring to Herreid School, where he remained until 1967, when his family relocated to Lodi, California. Gordon graduated from Lodi High School in 1970.
Gordon married Roberta Clark in 1978. From 1978 to 1999, they had two children: Daniel and Kimberly.
In his younger days, Gordon enjoyed drag racing, NASCAR, and working on cars. He worked for many years for General Mills in Lodi, California. When Gordon retired, he moved to the foothills of California to be closer to his brother. They later returned to Eureka, South Dakota. Gordon later moved to the Good Samaritan in Herried, South Dakota, and then to Avera Care in Eureka, South Dakota.
Gordon enjoyed puzzling, bingo, and attending church services.
Grateful to have shared Gordon’s life, his brother, Dale Edward (Nan) Orth of Eureka, SD; daughter, Kimberly Marie Orth of Texas; grandson, Donovan John Orth of California; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gordon is preceded in death by his father, Walter D. Orth; his mother, Amanda (Neuharth) Orth; son, Daniel Gordon Orth; and grandson, Devin Daniel Orth.
