Gloria M. Kline-Eckart
July 31, 1944 — July 11, 2014
Gloria Martha Kline-Eckart, 69, of Sioux Falls, SD, and formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at her home in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Rolf Svanoe presiding. Burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen. A luncheon and time of fellowship at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center will follow the burial.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, and for one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Wednesday.
Gloria M. Klaudt was born on July 31, 1944, in Mobridge, SD, to Sam and Martha (Vollmer) Klaudt. She was raised in McIntosh, SD, and graduated from McIntosh High School with the Class of 1962. Gloria then moved to Aberdeen to further her education at Northern State University. Following college, she became an employee of McLaughlin Supply House where she met Henry Kline, and worked there for several years.
Gloria was united in marriage to Henry Kline in McIntosh, SD, on July 31, 1971. The couple made Aberdeen their home. She was employed with Walmart for many years. Gloria and Henry shared nearly 34 years together before Henry passed away on April 4, 2005. In 2008, Gloria moved to Sioux Falls, SD. Gloria and Jim Eckart were married on May 1, 2010, in Sioux Falls and continued to reside there until the time of her death.
Gloria was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife.
Grateful to have shared in Gloria's life are her husband, Jim Eckart of Sioux Falls, SD; three children: Jeffrey Kline, Andrew (Melissa) Kline, and Stephanie (Joe) Olson, all of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren: Madeleine, Ashlyn, Laura, Mary, Rylan, Brynn, and Nicolas; and one sister, Pearl (Ken) Ivers of Brookings, SD.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Henry; brother, Alvin; sister, Gladys; and grandson, Talon.
