Gary Allen Schlenker

Gary Allen Schlenker, age 77, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, Clarksville, TN.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, South Dakota, under the care of Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory. www.schriversmemorial.com

Gary entered this life on May 15, 1947, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to the late Arthur and Marie Schlenker. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam Era. He was a dedicated schoolteacher, specializing in mathematics. His hobbies included reading, airplanes, playing his guitar, listening to music and studying math and architecture.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jean Swengel Schlenker; daughters, Janelle Eilbert (Scott), Larisa Hudoba (Brian), and Susan Schlenker; grandchildren, Samuel Spah, Gabriel Spah, Isabella Spah, Olivia Hudoba, Rhett Hudoba, and Beau Hudoba.
