Fred T. Reirich Jr., 94, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.
Fred's wishes were to be cremated. He will be put to rest with his wife at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen. No formal services will be held.

Fred T. Reirich Jr. was born on July 21, 1920, in Aberdeen SD, to Ferdinand and Helen (Schumacher) Reirich.
Fred made Aberdeen his home, where he was employed over 50 years with Milbrandt & Grote Sheet Metal and later Grote Roofing.
Fred was a veteran of WW II, serving three years and three months in France and Germany with the 159th infantry that took part in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day at Utah beach, and fought at the Battle of the Bulge under Patton's 3rd Army.
He was Commander of Sidney L. Smith American Legion Post #24 of Aberdeen from 1966-1967 and member of the Drum and Bugle Corp.
Fred was an avid pheasant hunter.
Surviving Fred are two children: Judy Bouffard of Wichita, KS and Cliff (Sandra) Reirich of Poplar Grove, IL; three grandchildren: Nicole (Jason) Cervantes, Melissa (Clay) Fradd, and Joel (Ashley) Reirich: and five great-grandchildren: Chase Johnson, Alex Johnson, Megan Johnson, Jackson Fradd and Olivia Fradd.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Margaret; one brother; two sisters; and both parents.
