Florence A. (Biegler) Crady

Florence A. Crady, 99, of Aberdeen, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Avera Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen.

Her wishes were to be cremated with a graveside committal service being held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Aberdeen with Father David Janes officiating.

Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Florence Agnes Biegler was born April 18, 1921, to John and Genevieve (Roehrich) Biegler in Aberdeen.  She attended Biegler School at Richmond, SD, prior to attending and graduating from Remily’s Beauty School of Aberdeen in 1950.  Following graduation, Florence worked as a beautician in Aberdeen before opening a shop in her home.

Florence was united in marriage to Allen Lucene Crady on September 5, 1942, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen.  The couple made Aberdeen their home before moving to the family farm west of Aberdeen in 1943.  They lived on the farm until January of 2001 when they moved back to Aberdeen.  Florence and Allen shared 60 years of marriage before he passed away on June 4, 2003.  She continued to reside in Aberdeen until the time of her death.

Florence was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aberdeen and was active in the Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters.  She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Brookside Extension Club, Senior Citizens, and RSVP in Aberdeen and had served as a past 4-H Leader and Girl Scout Leader.

In her spare time, Florence loved fishing and bowling.  She also enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, and visiting casinos.

Grateful for sharing Florence’s life are her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Crady; her son, Don Crady; her parents, John and Genevieve.
