Elaine Pribble

August 2, 1931 — August 22, 2015

Elaine C. Pribble, 84, of Aberdeen passed away at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen on Saturday, August 22, 2015, with her loving niece by her side.

Elaine's wishes were to be cremated with no funeral service, flowers, or memorials.

Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign her online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com.

Elaine Clarice was born on August 2, 1931, to John W. "Vane" and Clara M. (Matson) Skoloda in Minneapolis, MN.

As a young woman she joined the Marine reserves but was not able to complete training due to a medical condition. She was then employed at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Minneapolis, were she remained until her retirement in 1985.

Elaine married Ralph T. Pribble on March 30, 1979. After 33 years of marriage, he passed away on June 16, 2012, at their home in Watertown, SD. The following September she moved to Aberdeen to be closer to her family.

Elaine loved to sew and made her clothes for many years, as well as crocheting afghans for her niece and nephew. Cooking and baking were a passion in which she excelled. You could always find a jigsaw puzzle in progress in her home. She lost her ability to do those things when she developed Macular Degeneration. Her deep love for cats is what everyone who knew her will remember.

Elaine was a very kind and loving woman who appreciated the small things in life and the people around her. She dealt with many health issues over the years but she never let that get her down, she accepted it and continued on with living.

Elaine's family would like to thank all the wonderful health care professionals that they have met over the last three years (there are too many to name) for taking care of her and loving her.

She will be missed by her sister, Delores "Dee" Hall; nephew and niece, Jeff and Tara Hall; niece, Kim Hall; great nephew, John Hall; extended family, Crystal and Omar Romero and their two sons; and many friends.
