Elaine R. Gulden, 89, of Aberdeen, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at her home.
Elaine's wishes were to be cremated. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2014, at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen with Father Melvin Kuhn presiding.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the mortuary.
Elaine Rachael Schick was born on February 12, 1925, at Coleman, Wisconsin, to George and Pauline (Bertch) Schick, farmers at Lark, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and attended Flasher grade school in Flasher, ND and high school at Mandan High School in Mandan, ND. Upon graduation, Elaine taught country school for several years before beginning work for the Northern Pacific Railroad as an agent-telegrapher, where she remained employed throughout the war years.
Elaine married Pershing "Leo" Gulden on March 13, 1946. They operated several businesses of their own until the time of Leo's death in 1993.
Elaine is survived by three children: Stuart (Doris) Gulden of Aberdeen, Lila Gulden of White Bear Lake, MN, and Tony Gulden of Aberdeen; one brother, James (Arlene) Schick of Lark, ND; one sister, Georgene Lang of Modesto, CA; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Aaron, in 2000.
