Earl B. Swanson

Earl B. Swanson, 62, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Riverside Cemetery in Aberdeen, with Fr. Ken Lulf of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eden, presiding.

Earl Bradley Swanson was born on January 25, 1962, to Frederick Milton and Marjorie Ann (Pitzel) Swanson in Sioux Falls, SD. At a young age, he moved to Aberdeen with his family and attended Aberdeen public schools, graduating from Roncalli High School in 1980. Earl then attended Northern State College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.

Earl made Aberdeen his lifelong home, working in production for various companies. He later joined Midstates Printing, where he worked for many years and was still employed at the time of his passing.

In his free time, Earl loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting all different species and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time at lakes in Aberdeen and the surrounding area.

Grateful for having shared Earl’s life are his brother, Eric Swanson of Aberdeen, SD, and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
