Dwayne Alfred Schile

Mass of Christian Burial for Dwayne Schile, 79, Wetonka, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Ave NE with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser as the celebrant.

Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Aberdeen, SD.

Liturgical Wake service and rosary will begin at 7 p.m., Monday, June 29, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Ave. NW. Visitation is 5-7 p.m., Monday, at the mortuary and one hour prior to the funeral Tuesday at the church.

Dwayne passed away Wednesday, June 24th, 2015 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen.

Dwayne was born May 10, 1936 to Bartle and Louise (Voss) Schile at the family farm in Brown County near Wetonka, SD. He attended country school near his home in rural Carlisle Township and then worked on the family farm.

Dwayne married Bonnie Wylie Van Dover on May 15th, 1954 in Leola, SD. The first year of their marriage was spent on the farm and then they moved to Aberdeen where Dwayne worked for Northside Bakery. In 1963, they moved back to the farm where they made their home and he continued to raise cattle.

Dwayne loved his family, the land and family farm, and raising cattle. He will be remembered as an honest, hard working, and kind man with a good sense of humor. His many neighbors and friends knew that they could always count on Dwayne to lend a helping hand. Dwayne always enjoyed talking with people stopping by. Dwayne loved to go deer hunting and pheasant hunting. He enjoyed fishing at the Missouri River, and ice fishing. He dearly loved animals and his cat Lucy. His life has been blessed by many special neighbors and friends and the good times spent together over the years; 4H and SD State Fair, homemade ice cream, snowmobile parties, Brown County Fair, and working cattle.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 61 years; Bonnie Schile, Wetonka, SD, daughter Kathleen (Neale) Schad, San Antonio, TX., son Keith (Rita) Schile, Aberdeen; brother Lawrence (Janet) Schile, Wetonka, SD; five grandchildren, Megan (Matthew) Molleur, Austin, TX., Aaron (Theresa) Schad, San Antonio, TX., Matthew Schad, San Antonio, TX., Morgan Schile, Aberdeen, Justin Schile, Aberdeen; two great-grandchildren, Madison Molleur, Austin, TX., June Schad, San Antonio, TX., and great-grandson Molleur due in December, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bartle and Louise Schile, brother Elmer Schile, and niece Teresa Schile.
