Duane E. Rauscher

Duane E. Rauscher, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Dougherty Hospice House. He was born on May 26, 1949, to Gerhardt and Helen (Iszler) Rauscher in Elgin, North Dakota.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 4-6 PM at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 10 AM at Oak Hills Baptist Church, 6201 S. Lyncrest Ave.

Another Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary, 414 5th Ave NW, Aberdeen, SD 57401. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, South Dakota. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sioux Falls Kiwanis Club, P.O. Box 945 Sioux Falls, SD 57101.

Duane married Judi A. Schwahn on August 26, 1972, in Leola, South Dakota. He enjoyed a 33-year career in oil and gas production. They were about to celebrate their 52nd anniversary next week. Duane was a member of the Oak Hills Baptist Church and the Sioux Falls Kiwanis Club. He loved spending time with his family, woodworking, and fishing.

Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Judi Rauscher; son, Jason (Sara) Rauscher; step-son, Jim (Mary) Fiedler; siblings, Paul (DeeDee) Rauscher, Herman (Kathy) Rauscher, Fred (Linda) Rauscher, Bernice Herreid, and Cheryl (Roy) Chamberlain; grandchildren, Reuben Rauscher, Jeffrey Rauscher, Shelby Barta, and Sabrina Milburn; great-grandchildren, Everett Hage, Margaret Barta, and Charlotte Barta; numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers Melvin, Vernon, and Norman Rauscher.
