Donald Heinz

Donald Michael Heinz, 70, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.

A Private Family-Only Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel. Don’s wishes were to be cremated and burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Donald Michael Heinz was born September 11, 1953, in Aberdeen, SD, to Michael and Christina (Volk) Heinz. He attended school in Aberdeen, graduating from Central High School in 1971.

On September 10, 1977, he married Susan Gemar in Aberdeen. Two children were born into this union:  Nikki and Matthew. He was also blessed with four grandchildren, Marcus, Christopher, Hadley, and Zambo.

He worked for 43 years at Hub City Manufacturing. He enjoyed camping, fishing, watching Westerns, selling items, talking with family and friends, and telling fish stories.

Donald is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Nikki; son Matthew (Angie); and grandchildren: Marcus, Christopher, Hadley, and Zambo.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
