Dolores Lacey was born on August 14, 1927, to Earl and Caroline (Gutjahr) Lacey in Aberdeen. She was raised and attended school in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School.

Dolores was united in marriage to Elmer Kiesz, and to this union, two children, Nancy and Jeff, were born. The family made their home in Oregon. Dolores and her children then returned to Aberdeen, where she was employed for the Girl Scout office for five years. She then became employed at the Aberdeen National Bank as a teller, where she remained for many years until the time of her retirement.

Dolores was married to Herschel Kemnitz for 20 years. She was very happy to be able to remain living at her home, despite battling health issues the last few years of her life.

Dolores was an avid sports fan and watched the Sports Channel most of the day. She always had either a football or basketball game on television. Dolores was also a long-time Northern State Wolves Club member and rarely missed a game, until her health prevented her from attending.

She will be remembered as a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Grateful to share in Dolores' life is her son, Jeff (Christie) Kiesz of Aberdeen; two grandchildren: Justin (Veronica) Kiesz of Spring, TX and Heather Kiesz of Whittier, CA; and two great-grandchildren, Kolbe and Juliana Kiesz of Spring, TX.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; her daughter, Nancy Kiesz; two brothers; and one sister.
