Diane Rose (Heinz) Smith

Diane Rose Smith, 64, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.

Her private memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Father Michael Griffin officiating.

Diane Rose Heinz was born February 2, 1956, to Michael and Christina (Volk) Heinz and spent her life living in Aberdeen, with over 40 years working at American Family Insurance.

Diane was a loving wife to John Smith, a caring mother to Corey (Bethany) Smith and David (Amber) Smith, and a wonderful grandmother to Henry, Sadie, and Freyja Smith.

Diane was fortunate to be supported all the way to the end of her illness by the best immediate and extended family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and hospital staff that she could have ever asked for. Diane would have wanted to say “Thank you” to all for the love, especially her sister Donna (Kerry and Amanda).

Diane was truly a special person and will be missed by all.
