Born on July 16, 1935, in Ipswich, SD, DeWayne grew up on a family farm along with his younger brothers Darwin and Ken Holm. DeWayne lived a life defined by his dedication to his family and his simple joys.
A longtime resident of Aberdeen, DeWayne found his greatest happiness outdoors, particularly in fishing and hunting. Whether on the lake or in a boat, fishing was a passion that brought him peace throughout the years. In his later years, DeWayne and his beloved wife, Hazel, frequently spent their winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona, enjoying time away from the cold.
DeWayne will be remembered as a devoted husband to his wife, Hazel, and a proud father to his six children: Steve, Kim, David, Mike, Paul, and Jan. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience.
DeWayne is survived by his wife, Hazel, and their children, Steve Holm, Kim Doris, Mike Holm, Paul Holm, and Jan Reuschlein; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
DeWayne was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Irene Holm; his son, David Holm (who passed away last year); and his younger brothers, Darwin Holm and Ken Holm.
