David Wayne Pederson

David Wayne Pederson (Pete), 75 of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Schriver's Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Lay Pastor Jay Haaland officiating.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral chapel.

David Wayne Pederson was born November 4, 1947, to Gerald and Yvonne (Wheeldon) Pederson in Aberdeen, SD. David was raised in Aberdeen. He worked for his father driving trucks. Later, he worked in construction with his uncle, before becoming self-employed and starting his own construction company. He also worked with his good friends in the automotive business.

David enjoyed going for drives. He loved all things involving cars, from collecting his die-cast cars to working on them. David would help his friends in any way he could and was always there for his children and grandchildren. David will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Grateful for having shared his life are his children: Heidi (Jamie) Furman of Aberdeen, Jeremy Pederson of Aberdeen, Chad (Ashley) Pederson of Aberdeen, Kristina (Robert) McCubbin of Cibolo, TX, Tara Pederson of Aberdeen, David Pederson of Aberdeen, Carly Pederson of Aberdeen, 17 grandchildren, his nieces and nephews, and his very special furbaby "Bear."

David was proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Geraldine Fryer.
