Daniel “Danny” R. Ragels, 63, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2022, at Schriver’s Memorial Funeral Chapel with Deacon Pete Mehlhaff officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before the funeral at the chapel.

Daniel Ray Ragels was born May 8, 1959 to Ethan “Dick” and Josephine (Hanlon) Ragels. Danny was raised in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen Central High School. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Danny was in the Army for a short time where he received an Honorable Discharge and returned to Aberdeen. He worked various jobs and worked at the family business, Dick’s West Side 66 gas station.
Danny was a big movie buff, and enjoyed the company of his family. He loved rock and roll music. Danny entered Aberdeen Health and Rehab in January 2012, where he continued to reside until the time of his death.
Grateful for having shared Danny’s life are his mother Josephine Ragels of Aberdeen; one brother, Dennis (Sharon) Ragels of Aberdeen; one sister, Debbie Ragels Graves of Aberdeen; two nieces: Jennifer (Eric) Crabb of Aberdeen and Courtney (Jason) McCorkle of Aberdeen; two nephews: Matthew (Keirsta) Ragels of Rapid City and Seth Graves of Aberdeen; four great nieces: Olivia, Athena, Genaveve, and Rosabelle; and three great nephews: Jacob, Cameron, and Jason Jr.
Danny was preceded in death by his father Ethan “Dick” Ragels and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aberdeen Health and Rehab for the wonderful care that was given to Danny.
