Carri Lorraine Freeman was born on April 6, 1969, to Charles “Frederick” and Barbara (Gunderson) Freeman in Puyallup, WA. Freddie passed away on July 9, 1969. Shortly after, Barbara and Carri moved to Pollock, SD. Carri attended school in Pollock and graduated in 1987. She continued her education at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD.

Carri was blessed with a son, Tayden, in 1998. They made their home in Aberdeen. Carri was Tayden’s biggest supporter in life. Over the years, she enjoyed watching him compete in different activities: youth sports, bull riding, and fishing.

Carri worked at Wells Fargo Financial, Progressive Financial, and Lafayette Casino. She made many friends through these various jobs. Her contagious laugh put a smile on so many faces. One of Carri’s favorite Friday night activities was attending the car races. She loved the people and excitement the races brought. Over the years, she attended many rock concerts with friends. She loved 80’s rock music!

In the last 2 years, Carri made the best of her situation being confined to her wheelchair. She never let it get her down and made the most of her time. She spent many hours creating beautiful diamond art pictures. Carri had a successful YouTube channel called “DP in the Dakotas” where she showed some of her creations.

Grateful for having shared Carri’s life are her son, Tayden of Aberdeen; her parents, Duane and Barbara Fjeldheim of Pollock; her brother, Ryan (Sue) Fjeldheim of Groton; and her grandma, Phyllis Fjeldheim of Pollock. She was a proud auntie to Anna, Abby, and Drew Fjeldheim and enjoyed attending their different activities. She was lucky to have a bonus son, Josh. Carri had a special relationship with her Uncle Doug and Aunt Cheryl Fjeldheim of Westport.

The people who helped Carri over the years are far too numerous to mention. Please know that you are each so appreciated.

Carri was preceded in death by her father, Charles Freeman.
