BonnieLee Ellis Feickert was born on February 26, 1953, to Emanuel and Clara (Huber) Feickert in Eureka, SD. Bonnie lived a life rooted in faith, family, kindness, hard work, and above all, laughter. She had a gift for humor that could light up any room, and a heart that made each person she met feel truly seen and valued. If you knew Bonnie, you knew her caring nature. She had a way of making people feel like they mattered no matter how briefly their paths crossed.

Bonnie found joy in the simple and meaningful things. She loved ladybugs and cats, and she poured her creativity into sewing, embroidering, and crafting her beloved Yo-Yo dolls. She also delighted in collecting Cracker Jack toys, small treasures that reflected her playful spirit.

She had a bold and adventurous side as well. Bonnie loved riding her Spyder and embraced the biker lifestyle with pride and joy. Yet no matter where life took her, her heart was always with her family. You could often find her cheering on her great-grandchildren, faithfully showing up for their games, events, and milestones, always their biggest fan.

Bonnie especially loved Christmas. She always made sure everyone had a gift, whether they were family or simply someone who happened to be by, and decorated everything with her always-favorite, ever-present reindeer in the Christmas season. It wasn’t just a holiday to her; it was a season of giving from the heart. That was who Bonnie was—generous, considerate, and always putting others' needs first.

BonnieLee is survived by her husband, John Walker; children: Ross Walker and Wendy (Jeff) VandeBerg; five grandchildren: Brittany, Lexi, Jeremy, Jessica, and Chris; and six great-grandchildren: Paxton, Parker, Portlynn, Owen, Adam, and Dean. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ron (Janice) Feickert and Larry (SharRay) Feickert; one sister, Marcella Mayer; special nephew, Justin; and several nieces and nephews she truly adored.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Clara; brother, Gerald Feickert; brother-in-law, Roger Mayer; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Feickert and Linda Feickert; four siblings in infancy: Charlotte, Naomi, Denita, and Timothy; and her very special furry friend, her cat, CJ.

Though she is no longer with us in person, Bonnie’s legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the love she gave so freely, and the countless lives she touched. Her spirit will continue to shine in the stories we tell and the memories we hold close.

In honoring Bonnie, we are reminded to love generously, laugh often, and make room for everyone at your table, just like she did.
