Arlene L. Hauck

Arlene Lois Hauck, 86, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Father Jonathan Venner, presiding. A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow the memorial service at Schriver's Memorial Fellowship Center. Burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.

Memorials are preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Aberdeen.

Arlene Lois Olson was born on March 13, 1927, to Charles and Bertha (Ohloff) Olson in Aberdeen, SD. This is the area where she was raised and attended school.

Following graduation from Aberdeen Central High School, Arlene worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for several years.

Arlene was united in marriage to Frank P. Hauck at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aberdeen on September 20, 1948. The couple made their home in Aberdeen, where Arlene was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society and the League of Women Voters. Arlene also volunteered much of her time with The Grey Ladies and to the Red Cross.

Blessed to have shared in Arlene's life is her brother, Robert (Jean) Olson of Aberdeen; her brother-in-law, Leo Lee of Grand Island, NE; her sister-in-law, Patricia Olson of Aberdeen; and many nieces and nephews.

Arlene's parents; husband; brother, Edward Olson; sisters, Vivian Brick and Doris Lee; and brother-in-law, Earl Brick, preceded her in death.
