Ann Rita Mack

Ann Rita Mack, 71, of Aberdeen, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

A memorial reception, with lunch, honoring Ann will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, beginning at noon at The Eagle’s Club, 316 South 2nd Street, Aberdeen.

Ann Rita ‘Rita’ Mack was born August 11, 1942 to Joseph and Mary (Konantz) Scherado of Aberdeen SD. She attended school in Aberdeen and graduated from Central High School in 1961. She married LeRoy Mack of Leola SD on November 22, 1969 and they made their home in Aberdeen. Rita worked a variety of jobs throughout the years, however her family always came first. She retired from Avera St. Luke’s Home Health after the unexpected death of her husband in 2005. Rita enjoyed spending time with friends, her outings to casinos, cooking and baking, and spending time in her chair reading and watching TV. However her favorite times were spent with her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was known as a caring woman who could be depended on no matter what and was always a very loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers Kenny, Dick, Ray, Lenny, Bob and sisters Arlene and Betty and a sister in infancy.

She is survived by her sister Delores (John) Goldade of Rapid City SD, Joe (Judy) Scherado of Tacoma WA and Marvin Scherado of Menomonie WI. She will be missed the most by her daughter Tanya Mitchener of Aberdeen and son and daughter in law Brian and Ann Mack of Sioux Falls SD and her special little angels Lauren and Megan Mitchener of Aberdeen and Olivia and Sullivan Mack of Sioux Falls. We will always love and miss you!
