     Patrick Scott “Pat” Sanders, 59, of Lidgerwood, ND, and formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home in Lidgerwood.

     His memorial service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Gary Compton officiating.

     A luncheon and time of fellowship immediately follows the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.

     Patrick’s wishes were to be cremated with interment taking place at Riverside Memorial Park in Aberdeen at a later date.

     Visitation will be one hour before the service at the mortuary on Saturday. 

     Patrick Scott Sanders was born December 20, 1957, to Michael and Jeanne (Preston) Sanders in Aberdeen, SD.  This is the area where he was raised and attended grade school and Aberdeen Central High School.  

     Pat became a machinist by trade and was employed at K.O. Lee and Cardinal Tool in Aberdeen.

     Pat was united in marriage to Mary Jean “Jeannie” Doerr in Aberdeen on July 31, 1998.  The couple later moved to North Dakota, where he was employed at Bobcat Company in Gwinner until the time of his death.

     Pat enjoyed classic cars, golfing, playing softball, car racing, and watching Minnesota Vikings football on TV.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his buddies and co-workers.  Pat loved everyone and never met a stranger.  He was always cracking jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor.

     Pat leaves behind his wife, Jeannie of Lidgerwood; sons, Jamey and Danny Dunagan, both of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren, Tia and Logan Dunagan of Sioux Falls; his sister, Stacy (Jerry) Nicholson of Bismarck, ND; his uncle, Robert Preston; his niece and nephew, Cari Nicholson and Scott Nicholson; cousins, Susan (Mike Watts) Sanders and Pat (Grits) Sanders; as well as many other close family and friends.

     Pat is preceded in death by his infant son, Gabe; his grandparents; his father and mother, Mike and Jeanne Sanders; one brother, Mikie; and his aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Kenneth Peckham.
