Pam Lammers was born March 5, 1957, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Paul and Mildred (Miesen) Lammers.  She graduated from O’Gorman High School in 1975 and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota in May of 1979.  Following graduation from college, Pam taught at Saint Mary’s Catholic School in Sioux Falls for three years.

Pam was united in marriage to Terry White on August 9, 1980.  The couple moved to Aberdeen in 1982, where Pam began a 37-year career as a primary and elementary school teacher with the Roncalli Catholic School System.  On October 22, 1984, Pam and Terry were blessed with a daughter, Amy.  Pam continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Blessed to have shared in Pam’s life are her husband of 38 years, Terry White of Aberdeen; their daughter, Amy (Chris) Mithelman and granddaughter, Piper Pamela Mithelman, all of Sioux Falls, SD; Pam’s siblings:  Joe (Bridget) Lammers, Kevin Lammers, Joan (Larry) Bourne, and Karen Wise; her mother-in-law, Donna White; brothers-in-law, Jim O’Donnell and Ted Zawistowski; and sisters-in-law:  Lana White, Sally Dossett, and Stacey Nagel.  She will also be fondly remembered by her numerous fellow teachers and students at Roncalli; friends; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kay O’Donnell and Marilyn Zawistowski; and father-in-law, Gene White.

Known by many wonderful names – Pam, Pammy, Pamela, Mom, Grammy Pammy, and Mrs. White - she was a kind, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, teacher, and friend.  She lived her life as a faithful, prayerful daughter of God, always seeking joy in any situation, especially in the midst of pain and suffering.  Her love, enthusiasm, passion, empathy, laughter, and gratitude touched many lives.  Her light will shine in our hearts forever.
