Marvin Duane Fandrich was born November 15, 1958 to Edward and Margaret (Hogan) Fandrich in New Rockford, ND.  He grew up on the family farm near Carrington, ND, graduating from high school in 1977.  Marvin then attended North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND and received a degree in Tool and Die.

Marvin met the love of his life, Kathy, during high school and they were married in Carrington on July 19, 1980.  Marvin and Kathy were blessed with twin daughters, Shannon and Nicole, on November 15, 1983.  Since their marriage, the couple has made and called Aberdeen their home.

Marvin’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends.  He had previously worked at Cardinal Tool and Prairie Tool. Marvin had a passion for his work, as well as his co-workers and work family.  He enjoyed life at the lake, taking trips with Kathy on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, and spending time with his children and four wonderful grandchildren.  His kind-heartedness, jovial approach to life, and huge hugs will be missed by many people.

Those who will grieve this loss the most include his children and grandchildren:  Shannon (Josh) Shoultz and Casey and Eric and Nicole (Jeff) Grosz and Wesley and JoAan.  Also cherishing his memory are his six siblings:  James (Susan) Fandrich, Dennis (Anne) Fandrich, Cletus (Patti) Fandrich, Janet (Paul) Enders, Fay Fandrich, and Gail (Rich) Lange; as well as many sisters-and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Margaret; as well as his mother-and father-in-law, Norma and Virgil Larson; and one sister-in-law, Eva Larson.
