Lynnette Larae Felix was born to Henry John and Lois (Selgiman) Felix on December 21, 1943, in Columbia, SD.  Her father passed away at an early age, so she lived with her mother and older brother, Wayne, in the Aberdeen area.  Young Lynn went to school and worked in her mother’s restaurant and at Jones Drug.

Lynn later met and married the love of her life, Wayne “Walter” Walker.  They had three children:  her first daughter Sheila, middle child, Scott, and youngest, Shelly.  They eventually became grandparents, which they enjoyed immensely.  Lynn lived and worked in Watertown, SD, as a nurse’s aide, homemaker, and also as a cashier/night manager at Spies for many years.  After almost 30 years of marriage, her beloved Wayne passed away and Lynn moved to Sioux Falls to be closer to Shelly.  She was able to attend her granddaughter’s wedding to Thomas Trimble.  Shortly thereafter, Lynn slowly succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease.  Near the end of her life, the progression was rapid and she passed away peacefully in Southridge Nursing Home on a beautiful, warm, Saturday afternoon.  (Lynn passed in the month of her and Wayne’s wedding anniversary and Wayne’s birthday).  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.

Lynn was an avid animal lover.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, doing crafts, and tending to her plants.  Her flourishing houseplants were proof of Lynn’s green thumb.

Lynn is survived by her children:  Sheila (Royal) Boswell of Pierre, SD, Scott (Marlene) Walker of Jay, ME, and Shelly Walker of Worthing, SD; three grandchildren:  Brandon Boswell, Brianna (Thomas) Boswell-Trimble and Mackenzie Walker; and one step-grandchild, Brianna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her parents, Henry and Lois Felix; and one brother, Wayne Felix.
