     Lucille “Luci” Nadine Werner, 65, of Garland, TX, and formerly of Aberdeen, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017, at Richardson Methodist Hospital in Richardson, TX.

     Her memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 214 7th Avenue SW, Aberdeen, with Pastor Samuel Bobby officiating.

     Burial follows at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen.   

     Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation will be 6-7 p.m., Friday, August 18th, at the mortuary. Friends may sign Luci’s online guestbook and also view her service via the live stream service link at www.schriversmemorial.com.

     Lucille Nadine Werner was born on April 23, 1952, in Aberdeen to Leslie and Vivian (Schilling) Hoff.  She grew up and attended school in Aberdeen.

     Luci married Burton Werner on February 1, 1968, at Webster, SD.  The couple made their home in Aberdeen for several years before moving to California, where she worked as a senior funder for a real estate company from 1991 until 1996.  Luci then began employment for a real estate law firm where she worked with closing documents and titles.  She later worked at Home Builders showing model homes until the time of her retirement.  For the past three years, Luci made bears for the local hospice program.

     Grateful for having shared Luci’s life are her children, James Werner of Las Vegas, NV and Michelle Werner of Albany, NY; her mother, Vivian Hoff of Aberdeen; her brothers, David (Kelly) Hoff of Burlington, WI and Bradley (Kathy) Hoff of Aberdeen; two granddaughters; and one grandson.

     Preceding Luci in death are her husband, Burton; her father, Leslie; and her brother, Michael.
