Laura (Engelhart) Kelly, 82, of Aberdeen, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Aberdeen Health and Rehab.
Her memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, with Laura’s nephew, Pastor Scott Engelhart, officiating.
A luncheon and time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center.
Laura’s wishes were to be cremated. Burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Thursday.

Laura Engelhart was born October 2, 1935 to William and Barbara (Lacher) Engelhart in Zeeland, ND. At a young age, Laura moved with her family to Aberdeen before settling in Ipswich, SD, where she attended and graduated high school. Following graduation, Laura moved to Texas and later to Los Angeles, CA and found employment as a bookkeeper for a home building firm.
Laura married Ken Kelly in Los Angeles in 1982. In 2006, the couple returned to Aberdeen. Ken passed away in March of 2008 and Laura continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.
Throughout her lifetime, Laura enjoyed collecting dolls.
Laura is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Joe) Delucca of Algonquin, IL and Kim (Paul) Balsamo of Snoqualmie, Washington; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers: Paul (Belinda) Engelhart of Watertown, SD, Kenneth (Bonnie) Engelhart of Aberdeen, and Jerry Engelhart of Aliso Viejo, CA; and one sister, Marie (Craig) Wayne of Los Angeles, CA.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; one son, Kelly Gauer; her parents, William and Barbara; three brothers, William, Thomas, and Timothy Engelhart and one sister, Caroline Orr.
