Kristi Sue (Klovstad) Tarnowski, age 54, died April 6, 2019, following a courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Mapleton, North Dakota, in the presence of her family. Her wishes were to be cremated.
A Celebration of Life Service, with a time of sharing memories, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Schriver’s Memorial Fellowship Center, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen. Pastor Jon Droege, of Aberdeen Christian Fellowship, will lead the service.
Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Kristi Sue Klovstad was born December 30, 1964, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Wayne and Connie (Harstad) Klovstad. While growing up in Pelican Rapids Minnesota, Kristi enjoyed spending time at her grandparent's corner grocery store and at their lake cottage on Lake Lida.
Kristi met Tom Tarnowski in 1980 and they were high school sweethearts until they married on August 6, 1983. Tom and Kristi raised two daughters, Lynette and Emily, and were happily married for over 35 years when Kristi died.
Kristi enjoyed riding motorcycle with Tom, camping and fishing with her family, sewing, and crafting. She was a strong believer in Christ and throughout her battle with cancer, Kristi remained positive and her faith remained strong.
Kristi was a long-time employee of Sanford Clinic in Aberdeen prior to being diagnosed with cancer.
Kristi is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Lynette Tarnowski and Emily (Tarnowski) McCallister; two grandchildren, Alex and Silas McCallister; her brothers, Kevin Klovstad and Brian Haas; her sister, Julie LaJoie; and her stepfather, Leo Haas.
Kristi was preceded in death by her grandparents: Carol Klovstad, Ruth Klovstad, Arnold Harstad and Grace Harstad; as well as her parents, Wayne Klovstad and Connie Haas.
