Janelle Kaye Tschetter was born October 30, 1950, in Doland, SD to Rueben and Dolores (Gross) Tschetter.  She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Doland.  In 1968, following graduation from Doland High School, Janelle moved to Aberdeen to attend college.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern State in 1972 and then moved to Britton, SD to begin her teaching career.

Janelle was a faithful member and choir singer at First Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen.  In her spare time, she enjoyed scrapbooking and making greeting cards.  Above all, Janelle loved her family, and treasured being a grandmother to Oliver (6), Miles, (4), Ari (5), and Remi (4).
