Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Weigel, 100, of Aberdeen, will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Avenue NE, Aberdeen. Father J. Joseph Holzhauser will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.
Liturgical wake service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 at the mortuary. Visitation will be 5-7pm Monday, at the mortuary and one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday, at the church. Friends may sign her online guest book at the bottom of the page.
Helen passed away Friday, November 18, 2011, at the Bethesda Home of Aberdeen. Blessed be her memory.
Helen Senger was born December 5, 1910 to Joseph and Johanna (Feist) Senger in Emmons County, North Dakota where she was raised and attended rural schools.
Helen married Benjamin Weigel March 28, 1932. They farmed in the Ipswich area for several years. They moved to Aberdeen in 1947 and have resided here since that time. Helen has been a resident of the Bethesda Home since August of 2008.
Helen enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and sewing.
Surviving Helen are three sons, Jerome (Patsy) Weigel of Aberdeen, Francis (Betty) Weigel of Aberdeen and Ray (Carolyn) Weigel of Hughson, CA, one daughter, Sylvia Rott of Leola, daughter-in-law, Vickie Weigel of Aberdeen, one brother Lawrence Senger of Linton, ND, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Victor Weigel, son-in-law, Earl Rott, two sisters and three brothers
