Jean Tribble

Funeral service for Jean Tribble, 76, of Aberdeen, will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, 502 South Lincoln St., Aberdeen with Pastor Tom Haggar officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Aberdeen. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the mortuary followed by a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Friends may sign her online guest book at the bottom of the page.

Jean passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Aberdeen Health and Rehab. Blessed be her memory.

Martha Jean Sanderson was born on October 13, 1935 to William Earl and Martha (Webster) Sanderson on a farm near Crandall, SD. She attended Crandall grade school and graduated from Conde High School in 1953. Jean then furthered her education at the Aberdeen School of Commerce.

Jean was united in marriage to Ed Tribble on September 8, 1956 at Conde, SD. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Susan and Kathy. Jean worked at the Dakota Farmer in Aberdeen until her & Ed started their family. She then became a stay-at-home mom and homemaker while her children were young. They later moved to Brookings, SD where they owned and operated Tribble Motors for several years. . They returned to Aberdeen and Jean worked at the Cotman Hagen Insurance Agency. Jean was also a Weight Watcher's Leader for over 30 years. Ed passed away in 1992 and Jean continued to make Aberdeen her home until the time of her death.

Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church in Aberdeen for many years. She also was a volunteer each summer for the Brown County Fair. Jean loved traveling and sports. She was a dedicated fan of the Brown County Speedway and especially enjoyed attending NSU basketball games. Jean loved to talk and laugh and never met anyone she couldn't have a conversation with. She loved spending time with her family and friends and her cat "Pumpkin".

Surviving Jean are her daughters, Susan Zacher (Harry Podhradsky) and their children Austin, Alyssa, Brandon and Joseph of Tea, SD and Kathy (Bob) Zerr and their children Denise, Kierra, Ashley, Caragh, Courtney, Richard and Ja Quann of Aberdeen; one brother, Richard (Dorothy) Sanderson of Conde, SD; one sister, Hazel Reeve of Princeton, MN; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Sanderson of Conde.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; and one brother, Jim Sanderson.
