Marjorie "Marge" Stroh

Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie "Marge" Stroh , 87, of Beulah, ND and formerly Aberdeen will be 10:30am Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen. Father Edward Pierce will be officiating. Marjorie's wishes were to be cremated and burial of her cremated remains will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, Aberdeen is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Knife River Care Center in Beulah.

Marjorie Patricia Metzinger was born February 2, 1924 to Frank and Flora (Davis) Metzinger at Onaka, SD where she was raised and attended school. At the age of twelve, her mother passed away and she moved to Aberdeen to live with her loving sister Ella (Morris) Smith and their family. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1942. She worked various jobs in Aberdeen.

Marjorie married Adam Kelly Stroh in October of 1946. They had two children. She sold Stanley home products for many years and also worked at Maurices as a sales clerk for seventeen years.

Marjorie was active in PTA, bowling, Women of the Moose, Zonta, Sacred Heart Altar Society, the Red Hatters, VFW and recently the Senior Center. She also volunteered at Avera St. Luke's, the Roncalli Nearly New Shop and the Literacy Club.

In October of 2009 she moved to Beulah, ND to be closer to family.

Surviving Marjorie are her daughter, Pat (Rick) Mathes of Beulah, ND, her son Mike Stroh of Valencia, CA, four grandchildren, Pam (Jeff) Frank, Beth (Donovan) Rathjen both of Beulah and Chris Stroh and Patrick Stroh both of Valencia, CA, special niece Bonnie (Rich) Lebay, nephew Bob (Gloria) Smith and special friends, Carrie Lang, Micky Gefre, Mylis Husby.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and ten siblings.
