Joann Marie Peterson

Gladly God took Joann Peterson, 84, Aberdeen, after seven ravaging years of Alzheimer's.  She died peacefully, Friday, January 28, 2011, at her home apartment on Railroad Ave. SE.  Direct cremation was performed by Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen. There will be no service.

Joann was born April 16, 1926 at Evansville, IN.  She married Joseph E. Willett May 9, 1946 at Evansville.  Four children, Alice, Donna, Regina and Joseph II, were born to this union.  Being a devout Catholic mother, her children and their activities were her entire world.  Her family always came first.  Joseph Willett died of cancer September 23, 1969.

Joann married Randall Peterson, Jr. June 10, 1972 at Evansville. They lived and worked in Evansville, IN, St. Louis, MO, and Gillette, WY before settling in Aberdeen, SD in 1981. She was employed at National Fitness Center, Super 8 Motels, Inc., and Rivett Group where she retired in 1998.

Joann loved life.  She was fiery, dynamic, carefree, adventurous and a true caring and kind human being.  She will be missed by her husband and her many friends.  However, her deeds and life will remain in our hearts forever.
