Marcella "Sally" McNeary

Mass of Christian Burial for Marcella "Sally" McNeary, 68, Aberdeen, will be 10:30am Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Ave NE with Father J. Joseph Holzhauser officiating. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery will be at a later date.

Liturgical wake service will be 6:30pm Monday, February 14, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Ave. NW.  Visitation will be 3-6:30pm Monday at the mortuary and one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday, at the church.

Sally passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen.

Marcella was born October 6, 1942 to Ben and Bertha (Heupel) Lacher in Zeeland, ND.  In 1951, the family moved to Aberdeen where she attended St. Mary's Parochial School.  She graduated from Aberdeen Central High in 1960, and then attended Presentation College to become an X-Ray Technician.

Marcella and William G. "Bill" McNeary were united in marriage April 18, 1964 in Aberdeen.  Sally was employed as an X-Ray Technician at Avera St. Luke's Hospital and Vogele Clinic in Aberdeen.  Later she was employed at various business' as a secretary. Sally was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar Society and the Roncalli Boosters.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Grateful to have shared in Sally's life is her husband, William "Bill" McNeary, her son, Mark (Kari) McNeary, her three grandchildren, Kristan Meehan, Katie McNeary and Brayden McNeary all of Aberdeen, SD, her sister, Marlene (Ron) Leighty of Aberdeen, SD, and three brothers, Bernard W. (Rose Marie) Lacher of Virginia, MN, Bruce (Sandie) Lacher and Dennis Lacher both of Princeton, MN.

The McNeary family prefers memorials to Roncalli High School in Aberdeen.
