Elizabeth Liedle

Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Liedle, 98, of Aberdeen will be 10:30am, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen. Fr. Shane Stevens will be officiating. Burial will be Sunset Memorial Gardens. Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements.

Liturgical wake service will be 5:00pm Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the mortuary. Visitation will be from 4-6pm Wednesday at the mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church, Thursday. Friends may sign her online guest book at www.schriversmemorial.com

Elizabeth passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor.

Elizabeth Buechler was born February 5, 1913 to Michael and Elizabeth (Geffre) Buechler at Hauge, ND. At a young age, she moved with her family to Leola, SD where she was raised and attended Leola Schools.

Elizabeth married Reuben Liedle November 14, 1939 at Leola. They farmed in the Leola area for many years. They moved to Aberdeen in 1950 and have resided here since that time.

Elizabeth volunteered much of her time for several different organizations and civic groups especially for the Roncalli Nearly New Shop. She also and enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and friends.

Surviving Elizabeth are one daughter, Darlene (Russ) Daugherty of Aberdeen, one son, Harvey (Marcia) Liedle of Mooresville, NC, two sisters, Theresa Sahli of Aberdeen and Josephine Huber of Milwaukee, WI, one brother, Walter (Marlene) Buechler of Aberdeen, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and two brothers.
