Robert Gene Kinder

Gene Kinder passed away May 19, 2011.

Robert, who went by Bob, was born on June 12,1938.

On June 20, 1959, Bob was wed to his beautiful wife Vonda Lee Kaiser. Together they had five children, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He found the most joyful moments in his life while spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family. Whether sharing some of his favorite hobbies such as golfing, fishing and playing cards or spending a lazy afternoon indoors, Bob loved his grandchildren with an unmatched zeal.

Bob's love for his wife Vonda was unwavering and he always found creative ways to express his feelings for her.

He worked at the United States Post Office from 1962-1997 and retired as postmaster.

Bob is survived by his wife Vonda; his three daughter-- Karen(Randy Utecht), Kristi(Bruce Fischer) and Aimee(Thomas Ullrich); his two sons-- Robert "Bobby"(Mary Kinder) and Tracy(Sandy Kinder); his eleven grandchildren-- Jessica(Tom Whillock), Mitchell, Joel, Keshia, Justin, Jacob, Tyler, Erin, Courtney, Zachary and Connor; and his two great-grandchildren-- Grace and Terrell. As well as his sister, Betty and brother Larry.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents-- William and Johanna; his two sisters-- Katherine and Linda; and two brothers Edward and William.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and most of all by his wife Vonda.

The visitation will be at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary & Crematory, 414 5th Ave. NW, on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. with the wake service at 7:00p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 23rd at 10:30a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 409 2nd Ave. NE. They will be officiated by Father Joe Holzhauser.
